LUXMAN’‘s latest D/A converter, featuring multiple inputs and outputs, designed to be the core of an advanced audio system for digital sound sources, fully compatible with the latest generation of digital formats
A wealth of research and development went into our D-07X SACD/CD player, released in 2022, highly acclaimed by reviewers and die-hard disc enthusiasts. Hence, we are proud to introduce its logical successor, the DA-07X, our new high-end D/A converter.
By removing disc transport and playback protocols, we were able to brush up functionality, sound quality and performance to create a genuine, state-of-the-art DAC product. In today’s music distribution market, streaming has become the rightful heir to CDs, a physical medium that has been around for over 40 years, streamed audio is a genuine, contemporary source for today’s music lovers. Streaming services are attracting a great deal of attention, appearing one after another and offering excellent sound quality and ease of use to satisfy modern audio enthusiasts. As the techniques employed to supply digital sound sources develop, standalone D/A converters are becoming increasingly important to listeners, just as valid as conventional components, such as amplifiers and speakers.
The DA-07X inherits the slim format of the DA-06, a hit standalone DAC model released in 2013, however this model is equipped with the cutting-edge digital processing capabilities inherited from our recent flagship SACD/CD players, the D-10X. The DAC mother board uses the same top-of-the-range BD34301EKV DAC chips from the ROHM “MUS-IC” series featured in our D-10X and D-07X players, also in dual mono configuration. Via a proprietary USB input, the unit provides a powerful, high resolution digital signal processing environment, supporting encoding rates up to 768kHz/32 bit for PCM signals and 22.5MHz for DSD data and comprehensive decoder functionality that fully supports advanced MQA encoding. The analog output section employs fully balanced current/voltage conversion routines that independently process the differential outputs of each DAC chip, operating in dual mono mode, and high-quality, discrete buffer circuitry that also serves as an LPF stage, powerfully driving next-stage components.
This combination achieves a wonderfully smooth and richly dynamic sound. The exterior combines a finely finished, blasted white front panel with a large status window housing a newly adopted, high-definition OLED display, creating a pleasing and precise user interface. The D-07X rises to the challenge of being a next generation USB equipped D/A converter, realizing an inspiring digital audio playback experience. Employing the latest digital processing technology, this model confidently handles a wide range of digital inputs and offers carefully crafted analog output circuitry, casting itself a central role in forward-looking audio systems.
